For the last couple of years, a monthly virtual coffee has been held between employees from Ultramar's different Business Units in Chile and abroad and Ultramar's Chairman, Richard von Appen. In April, the first of this year, 2024, was held.
This virtual meeting was the first of 2024, with the participation of a total of 11 employees from Ultramar Agencia Marítima, Ultramar, Mintral, TPC, TPS, Puerto Angamos from Chile; STL, AMS from Uruguay; Stierlift from Peru, SAM from Brazil and Paramar from Paraguay.
For some, this was the first opportunity to talk closely and ask questions to Richard von Appen. That was the case of Fiorella Giosa, STL Uruguay's OSH and IMS Manager "I found it very nice to have contact with employees from other units, with so much diversity and such different realities," she said.
In addition to the diversity of participants, Fiorella stressed the human value of this meeting: "I emphasize that for the company we are not just employees, but people with stories to tell, and that each of them contributes to the reality of the different Units", she added.
A similar view was shared by Clemente Marchant, Head of Management Control at Mintral Chile"Regardless of the fact that it is virtual, it is an excellent opportunity to get to know the leader of this great group, his experiences, his global vision of business and the values that he manages to promote in all the companies that are part of the organization", said Clemente.
In addition to highlighting the possibility of conversing with colleagues from other countries, Clemente took away important messages from this virtual coffee: "work must be done with heart and effort", he concluded.
These meetings are fundamental for connecting the different collaborators, transmitting Ultramar's culture and generating spaces for intimate and relaxed conversation.
