Under the title “Conversations that Transform”, a Conversatory on Overseas Leadership was held with great success, hosted by CNN Chile journalist Matilde Burgos. The event brought together close to a thousand attendees connected to a live broadcast, and focused on the essential qualities for a leader in Overseas, such as strategic vision, adaptability and innovation.
The meeting, transmitted by streaming to all Ultramar Business Units in the 17 countries in the Americas where it operates, was attended by executives from Ultramar Agencia Marítima, Ultraport, UASL, Axinntus and Naves Colombia.
“I think it was an excellent opportunity to share the way of thinking, the idea of Ultramar's leadership with all the rest of our collaborators,” said Diego Fernández, CEO of Ultramar Agencia Marítima.
The role of female leadership was also highlighted and strategies for training the next generation of leaders were explored.
“It is always good to talk about these issues, to have the opportunity to express ourselves, to be able to communicate with all levels and collaborators from all countries,” said Catalina Viancos, Ultramar Agencia Marítima's Liner Business Manager.
At Ultramar we will continue to focus on training new leaders, implementing strategies and tools to enhance the growth of our people, as is currently the case with the “Young Professionals” and “Leadership Seal” programs and the recently launched Mentoring program.
